Mrs. Banfield is a 13 year veteran Journalism teacher. She has spent her career ensuring that student's have a voice. They are the life of the school. As an educator, she has won the 2013 Rising Star Award from Journalism Education Association, the 2018 Colorado Rotary Teacher Diamond Award, as well as being nominated for the 2019 Crystal Apple Award. Students come first in all that she does.
